🎁 The Basics

What is The Give Experiment?

The Give Experiment is a social experiment and cryptocurrency token ($GIVE) on the Base network. We airdropped tokens to 100+ charities, celebrities, and influencers before launching publicly. Now we watch what they do with it.

How is this different from other charity tokens?

Most charity tokens promise to donate in the future. We already did. The donations happened before anyone knew we existed. Check the blockchain — it's all there.

What blockchain is $GIVE on?

$GIVE is deployed on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built by Coinbase. Base offers low fees and fast transactions while inheriting Ethereum's security.

🔒 Trust & Security

Is this a rug pull?

No. Here's why:

  • No team allocation — We hold zero tokens
  • No transaction taxes — We don't skim from trades
  • Liquidity locked — We can't pull liquidity
  • All wallets public — Verify everything on-chain

How do you make money then?

We don't profit from the token itself. Our revenue comes from website traffic and attention — ads, sponsorships, and potentially media rights. We're betting on the story, not the token.

How do I verify the airdrops actually happened?

Every airdrop is on-chain and public. Visit our Dashboard to see all recipient wallets. Click any address to verify on BaseScan. Receipts, not promises.

👥 The Recipients

How did you choose the recipients?

We selected recipients in three categories: Charities/DAOs with verified crypto wallets, celebrities with public ENS domains or known addresses, and crypto influencers who are likely to engage with the experiment.

Did you contact recipients beforehand?

No. That's the experiment. We wanted to see genuine, uncoached reactions. Will they notice? Will they care? What will they do? The surprise is the point.

What if celebrities just dump their tokens?

That's part of the experiment! If they sell, the world sees it. If they donate, the world sees that too. Every action reveals something about the person. Transparency is the feature, not a bug.

🏦 The Giving Block Reserve

What is The Giving Block Reserve?

We've set aside 100 million $GIVE in a public wallet for The Giving Block — the platform that helps 2,000+ charities accept crypto. We're challenging influencers to add to this reserve by donating part of their airdrop.

Why can't you just send to The Giving Block directly?

The Giving Block uses custodial wallets — they don't have a public address for airdrops. Our goal is to build enough momentum that they add $GIVE to their platform, allowing 2,000+ charities to receive donations in $GIVE.

How can I donate to the reserve?

The reserve wallet address is public on our Dashboard. Anyone can send $GIVE to it. Your donation will appear on the Generosity Leaderboard.

🚀 Getting Involved

Where can I buy $GIVE?

$GIVE is available on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) on the Base network. Check our Dashboard for current trading links.

How can I help the experiment succeed?

Spread the word! The more attention, the more pressure on recipients to act:

  • • Share on social media
  • • Tag celebrities who received $GIVE
  • • Ask them: "What will you do?"
  • • Donate to the Giving Block Reserve

Is this financial advice?

No. This is an experiment in transparency and generosity. Cryptocurrency is volatile and risky. Never invest more than you can afford to lose. Do your own research.
